Overview

Dominate your aesthetic practice with our advanced PDO Thread Lift Certification Course—designed for experienced injectors with at least 6 months of clinical injection experience. This specialized program focuses on PDO mono, screw, and barbed (barb) threads to lift, tighten, and contour the face, neck, hands, and décolletage, while stimulating collagen for lasting rejuvenation.

Participants will earn certifications in PDO thread lift techniques, covering precise thread placement, vector mapping, tension control, treatment planning, and complication management. PDO threads provide immediate lifting effects and promote ongoing collagen production, enhancing facial contours, skin tightening, and elasticity over time. This non-surgical option offers a comprehensive solution for achieving a more sculpted, youthful appearance and boosting confidence.

This course is ideal for clinicians seeking to expand their non-surgical rejuvenation offerings. The small class size—limited to 8 participants—ensures personalized instruction and meaningful hands-on experience.

Course Format:

  • Intensive didactic lectures covering anatomy, product insights, and clinical strategies.
  • In-depth hands-on practicum with supervised injections on live models.
  • All products and models are provided by Avevya at no additional charge.

Lecture Session

The course begins with an intensive and detailed lecture covering:

  • The anatomy, safety, mechanisms of action, and preparation of PDO threads
  • Industry best practices for full face, neck, décolletage rejuvenation
  • Facial and skin anatomy relevant to collagen stimulation, skin tightening, and lifting
  • Treatment indications and contraindications for PDO theads
  • PDO Threads Treatment Areas and Techniques:
    • Face: thread lift techniques for brow and fox eye lift, midface elevation, cheek and jawline contouring, and skin tightening
    • Neck: vector-based thread lift theory to improve neck contour and firm lax skin
    • Décolletage: targeted threading strategies to reduce creping, lift superficial tissue, and improve skin texture and quality
  • Client selection and consultation for dermal filler procedures

Advanced Injection Techniques:

  • Precise entry points, vector directions, insertion depth, and tunneling strategies to optimize lift and collagen stimulation
  • Thread selection and sizing based on anatomy, tissue quality, and treatment goals (mono, screw, barbed)
  • Tensioning, anchoring, and pull techniques for natural elevation and contour refinement
  • Mapping facial and neck zones to plan vector lines and ensure symmetrical, predictable outcomes
  • Safe insertion methods and device handling for both needle-based and cannula-assisted thread placement, emphasizing complication avoidance and tissue preservation

Complication Management and Protocols:

  • Recognition and prevention of common and rare adverse events specific to PDO thread procedures (infection, extrusion, palpability, asymmetry, vascular compromise, nerve irritation, and inflammatory reactions)
  • Step-by-step clinical protocols for managing adverse events and complications, including immediate on‑site responses and follow‑up care pathways
  • Non‑surgical remediation strategies, wound care, and recommended downtime/recovery guidance to optimize healing and safety
  • Pharmacologic and supportive interventions (antibiotics, anti‑inflammatories, hyaluronidase where relevant to combination treatments) and indications for escalation of care
  • Techniques for safe removal or adjustment of threads and referral criteria for surgical management when necessary

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Master advanced PDO thread techniques for targeted lifting, contouring, and long-term collagen stimulation to improve skin quality and firmness.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of facial and neck anatomy, thread selection, sizing, and individualized treatment planning for predictable, natural outcomes.
  • Implement best practices for complication prevention, early recognition, and evidence-based management protocols.
  • Explore innovative PDO applications and technique refinements that differentiate your practice and enhance patient satisfaction.

Practical Skills:

  • Supervised injection on live models utilizing both needle and cannula thread techniques
  • Personalized guidance on product dosing, placement, and treatment strategies
