Overview

Build a strong foundation in aesthetic injectables with our comprehensive Foundations Neurotoxin & Filler Certification Course. Designed for healthcare professionals beginning their injectable journey, this immersive program focuses on upper-face neurotoxins and lip augmentation while developing essential skills in facial anatomy, patient assessment, product selection, injection techniques, safety protocols, and treatment planning.

Participants will earn certifications in FDA-approved neurotoxins (BOTOX®, Xeomin®, Jeuveau®) and hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers (Restylane®, Versa®, RHA®). Through expert-led didactic education and extensive hands-on clinical training, participants will learn to safely perform upper-face neurotoxin treatments and lip augmentation while developing the confidence to deliver natural-looking aesthetic results.

This course is ideal for clinicians seeking to begin or expand their injectable practice with a strong clinical foundation. Class sizes are limited to 8 participants to ensure personalized instruction, direct mentorship, and meaningful hands-on experience with live models.

Course Format:

  • Comprehensive didactic lectures covering facial anatomy, product science, patient consultation, and evidence-based treatment protocols.
  • Extensive hands-on clinical training with supervised injections on live models.
  • All products, supplies, and live models are provided by Avevya at no additional cost.

Lecture Session

The course begins with an intensive and detailed lecture covering:  

  • The history, safety, mechanism of action, and preparation of neurotoxins, dermal fillers, and lipolytic fat dissolvers
  • Cosmetic indications and contraindications for neurotoxins, dermal fillers, and lipolytics
  • Facial and body anatomy as it relates to aesthetic injections, including muscle groups, bone landmarks, nerve pathways, vascular considerations, and targeted fat zones
  • Overview of neurotoxin, dermal filler, and lipolytic categories and types, and understanding product selection for various treatment area.

Techniques for Neurotoxin treatments of:

  • Forehead lines
  • Glabellar "11s"
  • Crow’s feet
  • Brow lift
  • Bunny lines
  • Lip flips
  • Jelly roll area
  • Facial anatomy and physiology as it relates to aesthetics
  • Overview of dermal filler categories and types

Techniques for dermal filler treatments in:

  • Lip augmentation (Classic & Russian)

Beginner Injection Techniques:

  • Understanding dilution ratios and proper reconstitution of neurotoxins to ensure accurate dosing
  • Learning unit conversions, including how to calculate and adjust units (e.g., insulin units) when preparing treatments
  • Precise entry points, angles, depths, and tunneling strategies for neurotoxins and dermal fillers
  • Micro-bolus for neurotoxins and linear threading techniques dermal fillers
  • Spread control (needle method specific) for both treatment types
  • Mapping facial areas and determining appropriate product amounts for neurotoxins and fillers
  • Detailed facial anatomy focusing on injection vectors, bone landmarks, nerve pathways, and vascular structures relevant to both neurotoxins and dermal fillers

Complication Management and Protocols:

  • Recognition and prevention of common and rare complications for both neurotoxins and dermal fillers
  • Step-by-step protocols for adverse events related to neurotoxins and dermal fillers
  • Management strategies including pharmacological interventions, downtime procedures, and patient safety considerations
  • Techniques for safe and effective reversal when applicable for both neurotoxins and dermal fillers

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Learn beginner injection techniques for facial rejuvenation, including muscle relaxation and subtle lifting with neurotoxins, as well as lip volume restoration with dermal fillers
  • Develop a sophisticated understanding of facial anatomy, product selection, and treatment planning for both neurotoxins and dermal fillers
  • Implement safe practices and manage potential complications effectively for both neurotoxins and dermal fillers
  • Explore innovative approaches for clinic differentiation and achieving higher patient satisfaction

Practical Skills:

  • Supervised injection on live models using advanced needle and cannula techniques
  • Personalized guidance on product selection, dosing, and treatment planning
  • Emphasis on patient safety, natural results, and complication avoidance

Hands-On Training

While models are available for class, each participant will work on at least 1–2 models per treatment area. This is a group training environment, where students will:

  • Conduct client consultations
  • Develop individualized treatment plans
  • Perform injections under instructor supervision

You will demonstrate proficiency in:

  • Conducting aesthetic patient consultations
  • Proper charting and documentation
  • Executing injection techniques using neurotoxins
  • Performing dermal filler injections confidently and safely

10:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Comprehensive didactic education covering anatomy, patient assessment, product science, treatment planning, injection techniques, contraindications, safety protocols, and complication management.

12:30 PM – 1:00 PM

Lunch (Provided)

1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Hands-on clinical training where students perform treatments on live patient models under direct supervision in a real medical aesthetic practice.

Course Eligibility and Requirements

This course is open to both medical and non-medical professionals, including beginners and experienced injectors looking to expand their skills in the field of aesthetics.

Minimum Age and Educational Requirements:

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time of enrollment.
  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification is required.

Background and Conduct:

  • Applicants must have no criminal background.
  • All students are expected to adhere to ethical standards and act responsibly within the scope of their training and licensure.

Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities

It is the responsibility of each student to research the local and state laws regarding licensing, operation, and compliance. Avevya, LLC assumes no liability or responsibility for legal advice concerning laws that govern city, county, state, or national regulations.

Medical Aesthetics Regulations in Texas

According to Texas State Code 193.17, non-physicians are permitted to administer injectables, provided they work under the supervision of a licensed physician. The Texas Medical Board’s rules, issued in 2013, require:

  • Advanced patient screening procedures
  • Injections to be supervised by a licensed medical professional
  • Written protocols to be readily available
  • Detailed record keeping
  • Hands-on training for individuals administering injections

These regulations authorize qualified personnel to perform dermal fillers, neurotoxins, and other cosmetic injectables, even if the supervising physician is not physically present during the procedure.

Important: Prior to performing any services, a compliant and legal business structure must be established.
